Proclaiming Grace Outreach

A nonprofit organization

Proclaiming Grace Outreach (PGO) is a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit serving residents of New Kent and upper James City Counties. We offer essential services including a food pantry, car and home repair programs, and an annual scholarship fund for individuals in need. These programs are supported by our thrift store, Grace Village Thrift, which is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PGO was founded in 2008 in memory of Jenna Grace King, a compassionate 17-year-old whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident. Inspired by her desire to help others, PGO was created to transform grief into meaningful action through service and support.

2025 is a landmark year for PGO. We're currently conducting a Capital Campaign to fund the opening of our new food pantry—our goal is to open debt-free so that every dollar can go directly to helping those we serve, rather than paying off a mortgage. The new pantry is expected to open in Fall 2025.

Funds raised through Give Local 757 will go directly towards the new food pantry's building fund.

Your support truly makes a difference. Thank you for helping us change lives!
