Project Aware Inc

Project Aware Inc. is a grass roots organization that was founded by concerned members of the community in 1992. Project Aware is was founded by the community, for the community and is also funded by the community. Project Aware is one of the few shelters in operation in the country that does not recieve federal or state funding.

In addition to Project Aware's temporary shelter services, Project Aware also provides thousands of free showers to homeless men each year, free local phone calls, free storage lockers, free clothes and hygiene, in addition to our day center where men can come and grab a bite to eat and relax.

Project Aware also has 13 affordable apartment unit's that are rented to formally homeless veterans.
