$5,000 Goal

The mission of Project Azul is to provide individuals from underserved communities with the flexible training and financial assistance needed to transition from unemployment or underemployment into full-time careers offering higher wages, access to benefits, and a pathway to career advancement.

38% of households in Central Indiana are ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) or in poverty. Project Azul leverages a robust network of education, community, and employer partners to serve participants and help them receive the support they need to get a better job with access to career growth. Project Azul supports participants as they receive a job-ready credential and places them in careers in fast-growing employment sectors. Through this preparation and training, participants are able to achieve a better quality of life for themselves and their families by earning living-wages with access to benefits.

In 2019, 65% of the individuals we trained were placed in a full-time, benefited job, with access to career growth and saw an average hourly wage increase of 28%.
