Project Back to School - Burkburnett

Project Back to School has been supplying the local students with backpacks filled with grade appropriate supplies for the last 12 years.  Started in 2012, Yellow Rose Sertoma Club began this Project Back to School Burkburnett to assist the economically challenged community members in acquiring the required school supplies for their children.  The 2024 Rally was held on July 27th at Overton Ray Elementary School from 9-11 am. 

Any student who qualified for the free/ reduced lunch program received a school supply kit and a back pack of their choice.   Vendors are on site to give immunizations, resources  and after school programs such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4 H and Boys and Girls Club.  The local Food Bank also provided free produce and fruit to the families.
