Project Fighting Chance is a Youth Mentoring Life Skills Program started in 1999 in the low-income community of San Bernardino. It was founded as a vehicle driving youth from anti-social behavior and into the organized sport of amateur boxing. It has an integrated program model that provides athletics, healthy eating, vocational training, education and counseling services. The program since its inception in 1999, has helped approximately 4000 youth between the ages of 8-17.

Our Mission is to provide a support system for the youth and young adults at-risk while assisting them to become positive contributing members of the community...

We're committed to the success of our youth

We never charge our youth for any of the services we provide. For the kids that pursue the sport and compete in tournaments the costs are significant and average about $320 for the proper gear (headgear, gloves, shorts, shoes, uniform, athletic supporter) and registration fees. This amount does not include the additional charges for travel expenses and meals (most of these tournaments are out of state and require car/van rental, lodging, etc).
