About Peace at Home: 

Founded in 1977 by a group of community members, Peace at Home was the very first domestic violence shelter in the state of Arkansas. our programs include an emergency safe shelter, legal services, counseling, support groups, and housing assistance to any adult and child experiencing domestic violence. All services are confidential and free of charge for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Each year, Peace at Home supports over 1,000 individuals in the community as they seek safety and independence.

The Mission:

To empower survivors to thrive by nurturing their self-determination and courage; and to promote healthy relationships and compassionate communities through education, outreach, and advocacy. 

Peace at Home's 2022 Impact: 

• Safe shelter to 98 adults and 118 children escaping violence, totaling 9,344 nights of safe shelter.
• Housing assistance to 114 families in our community.
• Legal services to 403 families, including divorce and child custody representation and assistance with obtaining orders of protection.
• Counseling services to 92 survivors of domestic violence.
• A listening ear and assistance to 1,349 crisis calls received through our hotline.
• $12,500 total amount of thrift store vouchers given to clients.
