Hear from a past Peace at Home Client:
"I write this letter at 7 am hoping that when it finds you, there is also peace in your heart. It is quiet here, some Gorillaz playing low in the background as the dishwasher hums like a heartbeat. Just two years ago I couldn't say there was peace here- it was fear, sadness, anger...all the things negative. As I look back on my journey to beocming free from the cycle of abuse and trauma, I recognize with deep gratitude that I wouldn't be here without your services.
My life is full of all the joy all the time even when life gets difficult because I was supported by so many loving humans that believed I had value. Thank you for valuing me, for giving me a safe space to grow and become my most authentic self. I work daily to break the cycle, to teach my sons to be whole men free of the abusive fathers of the past. I hope this helps someone become free- and I am so grateful to Maria (Peace at Home counselor) for all her support."
Because of you and your support, our clients feel valued and safe. Change a life today by giving to Peace at Home Family Shelter!
