Mission Statement:

Project 150 strives to provide the basic needs to the valley's homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students in the on-going struggle to make sure these kids get their diploma and have a better chance at succeeding in life.

About:

There are more than 6300 homeless students in Clark County. Project 150 currently serves nearly 1,000 homeless, displaced and disadvantaged teen students in 15 high schools with plans to serve all high schools in Southern Nevada.

Project 150 was born in December 2011 after founders Don Purdue and Patrick Spargur saw a local news story about 150 homeless teens at Rancho High School.  After visiting the school, it was discovered that the problem was much larger, affecting approximately 1000 high school students.

After organizing a successful Christmas Drive for Rancho students from friends and Facebook contacts, the two established a charitable trust to help address the larger problem. As the word spread, more volunteers stepped in to help secure and deliver donations.  Within 9 months a 501(c)(3) was secured and today Project 150 currently serves 15 high schools in Clark County. Through Title One and Homeless Teen Advocates at each school, our dedicated volunteers are able to assess needs and deliver donations of school supplies, food, clothing, hygiene products and household items.

Recently, Project 150 leased a 1,200 square foot Volunteer Resource Center strategically located to meet the growing need. This space provides a central location to organize and coordinate volunteer efforts. Project 150 is looking to add 3 additional high schools in the near future and eventually serve all high schools.

We can do more. Will you help?

Thank you for your support!
