Proud Respectable Individuals Determined for Education Inc

Purpose

Assist LGBTQ students 13+ with services to further their education and psychosocial growth. These services include, tutoring workshops, providing school uniforms and supplies as well as counseling.      

Mission Statement:

Is for all students to be proud of who they are and where they come from. Have respect for all. Be unique individuals and let their light shine. Have determination for all that they do. Education is power and let it lead you to excellence. 

Services Provided 

• LGBTQ youth one on one session: Students will be able to experience S.E.L. with a mentor.
• LGBTQ youth Group sessions:  Supporting and bring all students who identify as a Lgbtq individual together. Conducted with two of our mentors. Depending on how large the group size.
• Group session: General knowledge of lgbtq youth awareness led by our Founder.
• Parent workshops: Bringing awareness, support and resources for parents to best support their child/children.
• Assemblies: Youth motivation speech

Let’s bring awareness!

Students 16 years or older are welcome to join the P.R.I.D.E.Inc community!High School students and undergraduate student are welcome. Give back your time to your community! Become a mentor to our Lgbtq+ youth. Students are required to complete a minimum of 50 hours before the ending of there 2nd school semester. Students are allowed to complete up to 200 hours for future opportunities. We will host resume, interview prep and etiquette classes for all volunteers. As well, as a banquet for all students in June to honor them and show our gratitude and appreciation.       

Volunteering Opportunities

• Clerical work
• Tutoring Middle school youth. 
• Attend organization events and workshops on weekends.
• Ex: Breast Cancer Walk, Lupus Walk, One Warm Coat giveback, LGBTQ + walk, Basketball Tournaments, banquet event. 
• Create flyers.
