Providence Center Inc

Providence Center serves nearly 500 adults with developmental disabilities in Anne Arundel County. The extraordinary men and women we serve come to Providence Center because of dynamic programs and services that seek to empower individuals to acheive. It is our mission to help these adults build their individual strengths, find jobs and other meaningful roles in our community, and chart their own path in life. With the support of Providence Center, these men and women are growers and landscapers through our horticulture program.  They are potters and woodworkers providing beautiful products that are sold through area retailers. They are working with businesses and community groups as paid employees and caring volunteers. They are starting small businesses and mentoring their peers. Every person we serve is working hard to acheive his or her dreams and each of their stories is inspiring.

 

To fulfull our mission it takes nearly 200 care staff, a vast transportation system of 50 vans and buses, and the expenses to run several program centers. Our services have been counted on by thousands of individuals and their families for more than 50 years. Please help us continue to keep our doors open and our staff in place for those we serve now and those who will need us in the future.
