At Providence Classical Academy, we provide this sort of life-shaping education grade in the context of Christ-centered discipleship using classical methods to students in grades K4.

Christ-Centered Discipleship: We long for our students to trust, know, and love the Lord in all of life. Everything that we do, from relationships to discipline, is aimed at this goal.

Classically-Driven Learning: We primarily use tried and true Classical teaching methods that have been successfully instructing students for years; we aim at the Classical objective of building wisdom and character as the goal of education.

Community: Relationships are a critical part of children and families being formed. Providence seeks to nurture great relationships among our students and their families.

Caring Teachers: Teachers are marked by a love for the Lord, a love for learning, a love for students, and a competence for the classroom.

Providence was started out of a deep burden for our city and our country. Within our city, we saw lots of nonprofit organizations aiming to take care of those who lost their way, with varying success or failure, but almost none who were investing in developing leaders and a positive vision for our city.

The current situation within our city and country is even more stark with less vision and greater need. In this vacuum, Providence is transformative in what we are doing. The direction of any city, state, or country is shaped by its leaders. One of the questions that philanthropic organizations that want to invest in the future of our community need to ask at some level is: what is going to build the sort of leaders that are needed to make Shreveport-Bossier into the sort of place we long for it to become? Providence is such an organization.
