The Delaware State PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of Delaware’s children. With more than 7000 members, the Delaware State PTA is Delaware’s largest and oldest child advocacy organization. 

Delaware State PTA prides itself on being a powerful voice for children, a relevant resource for parents, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in the Delaware State PTA is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of children and youth, and supports the mission of PTA.

Every year the HB du Pont PTA supports a wide variety of activities that directly benefit your children and our school. Just a few of these endeavors include organizing 6th, 7th and 8th Grade teen centers and end of year activities; funding the end of year awards as well as reimbursing school clubs up to $200 in an effort to defray student costs; supporting the HB staff through special staff appreciation events; providing HB teachers and staff who join the PTA with $50 to enhance their classrooms; and funding classroom support grants. In recent years we were proud to provide partial funding to outfit a new computer lab and provided $3,000 to assist teachers in purchasing supplies for the Activity Blocks.

Although we welcome all offers of help, becoming a member does not require you to attend meetings or to volunteer. Regardless of your participation, your membership dollars help to support PTA programs, gives you a voice in the HB and state PTA s and gives you access to various member benefits provided by the National PTA (www.pta.org).

Remember, all donations beyond the membership fee are tax deductible. Whether or not you choose to join the PTA, providing your name and email address on the membership form will allow us to keep you informed about upcoming school and PTA events.

Individual PTA memberships are $7. Our online giving tool has a $10 minimum donation, so your extra $3 gift will go to the HBPTA to help fund our many great programs.
