75% of adults with developmental disabilities do not work, but could work, want to work and just need opportunities to work.

PWI provides job preparation, job placement and ongoing support to 750 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) each day, including individuals who have Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy, to name a few.

We hear this often. PWI opens the door for meaningful employment to 1100 individuals each year, and changes people’s lives. 

Marlo is a PWI client whose vocational dreams came true. Since 1998, Marlo has been a great addition to the Sea World San Diego team. She is successful at her job and proudly goes to work each day demonstrating her many abilities. She says “Don’t judge a person by their cover….judge a person by what they can do….if I didn’t have this job I would be really sad. I love my job!”
