Quincy Young Life

Young Life is an international, interdenominational organization. Young Life Quincy offers four programs tailored to local adolescents' developmental and cultural needs. These programs provide regular clubs with positive social interaction, adventure, and lessons promoting solid Christian values and hope in Christ. Leaders also offer one-on-one counseling and mentoring to address specific teen issues. Fall weekends and week-long summer camps offer time away from daily routines, exposing teens to the beauty of God's creation, confidence-building activities, and speakers introducing them to Jesus Christ. Teens who embrace Christ can join small groups called Campaigners, led by YL Leaders, to learn about the Bible, pray, and apply God's plan to their lives. Campaigners participants are encouraged to find and attend Christian churches if they or their families do not attend one.

The four programs in Quincy are:

1. YoungLives: Teen mothers (13-19) are mentored by adult women weekly, with childcare provided during Clubs, Campaigners, and Camp. Moms receive help to stay in school, parenting skills, Christian family values, hope in Christ, and practical support for a better future.

2. WyldLife: This group is for all junior high boys and girls. It offers positive leaders, high-energy activities, and content for younger teens who want to form positive friendships and be confident in God's love and purpose.

3. Young Life: A group for all high school students with goals mirroring WyldLife.

4. Young Life's Capernaum: Designed for teens and young adults with disabilities, this program offers fun, adventure, and friendship in a supportive environment. It emphasizes relationships, personal growth, and tailored activities to meet participants' unique needs.
