In just 2 weeks, June 14-16, revel in the rebellious, rise in reveries, and relish and rejoice in the Joyful Reunion of the International Queer Women of Color Film Festival’s 20th anniversary!

Featuring 44 films by LBTQIA2S+ BIPOC from around the world, this year’s screenings, panel, and reception (with a performance), will spark solidarity and galvanize collective action while filling your heart and soul.

Included in our 20th anniversary International Queer Women of Color Film Festival are 18 new films created through our Filmmaker Training Program, which is the north star that guides QWOCMAP every day.

Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project - QWOCMAP actively invests in, nurtures, and develops filmmakers from our community.

We do this because we know that how the world *sees* our community affects drives how it *treats* us.

So QWOCMAP works to change who makes films.

We change who is behind the lens.

We change the kinds of films that are made.

QWOCMAP transforms the craft of filmmaking itself.

We transform what we see from the old status quo tales.

We transform narratives that we see about who we are.

We transform our community to create new stories, new ideas, new visions.

You can support the change, transformation, and creation of new films by joining as a Producers Circle donor for the Filmmaker Training Program and fuel the creativity and leadership of LBTQIA+ BIPOC filmmakers, and fires new narratives for social justice.

You can join as a Presenting donor for the 20th anniversary International Queer Women of Color Film Festival and spark engagement, galvanize collective action, and forge solidarity.

You can support the boutique film Distribution Program as the foundation for political education and community building, and strengthens movements.

You can join QWOCMAP to fund, create, exhibit, and distribute compelling, just, and representative films that authentically reflect the lives of LBTQIA+ BIPOC and our multiple communities.

QWOCMAP was founded with the vision of artist-activist LBTQIA+ BIPOC filmmakers. Building on the work of the feminist Black lesbian Combahee River Collective, QWOCMAP believes that if LBTQIA+ BIPOC are free, then “it would mean that everyone else would have to be free since our freedom would necessitate the destruction of all the systems of oppression.”

So you too can support LBTQIA+ BIPOC filmmakers who can co-lead social justice movements that use the power of art as cultural resistance, and cultural resilience, cultural reclamation, and cultural renewal.

You can be a beacon for change and transformation.

You can be a guiding light for resistance, resilience, reclamation, and renewal.

Please consider giving for Give Out Day.

in love, light, laughter, and liberation,

Asari, Cassandra, Christina, Julia, Kebo, Lynn, Mad, Mel, Michelle, Nace, and Nat
