Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

The mission of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage.

In Arizona, RMEF and its partners have completed 451 conservation and hunting heritage
outreach projects with a combined value of more than $32.6 million. These projects have
protected or enhanced 398,981 acres of habitat and have opened or secured public access
to 21,585 acres.

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation was founded in 1984, with the first volunteer fundraiser, held in Flagstaff, Arizona. Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has secured 84 acres of great elk country for public access every day since 1984.
In December of 2016 the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation conserved its 7 millionth acre and notched the 1 millionth acre where we have created or improved access to public lands.
