Who We Are: Rainier Roller Riot (RRR) is a volunteer-run flat track roller derby league based out of Delridge Community Center in West Seattle, Washington. We are a small team open to skaters of all genders and committed to making space for BIPOC, queer, and trans skaters. As a team, we value creating a competitive, safe, and empowering space to foster individual authenticity and community. Our mission is to create a space where everyone can show up as they are, we’ll meet them where they’re at, and to have fun! We do all this while getting a good workout and offering a fast-paced and wildly entertaining sport to share with our 200+ fans that typically attend each of our home games prior to pandemic.

Why We Need Your Help: The COVID-19 pandemic has hit roller derby hard - mainstay leagues in our area have lost practice space, we spent years unable to put on bouts and fundraisers, and many people have left the sport. In order for us to build back our league, we need your help to keep renting out practice space after our contract ends at the end of July!

How You Can Help: Your donations will help us sustain our practice space for the next several months while we build back membership and prepare to host bouts open to the public. It takes about $4000 dollars to rent practice space for 2 months, so we are starting our donation ask there. If we are able to reach that goal, we will continue fundraising to $10,000 (to rent through the end of fall) and $20,000 (the cost of practice space rental for an entire year). This short-term financial support from our community will allow us to get back on our feet until we are able to host our sustainable fundraising efforts, such as our annual Auction, Skate Prom, and of course, roller derby bouts. Everything counts! No donation is too small.
