Ransom Café is a place where people can come and find nourishment both physical and spiritual.   A place where people will be able to have one of life’s basic necessities met. This will be a place to build relationships and to love our neighbors in a tangible way.

Ransom  operates with an ever changing menu.  Our menu depends on donations and foods that are able to be purchased at little to no cost.   We do not have set prices on any of our menu items.  We believe that some can pay more and some may not be able to pay as much, but the ones who can will pay for the ones who can’t.  If someone can’t pay anything, they can volunteer   1 hour of labor and they will be given a voucher good for 1 adult meal + 1 child’s meal or they can give product to be used in the preparation of the meals. We promote the ideal of a hand up not a hand out.  We do realize that there may be some special circumstances and we will work with every individual to try to meet their needs.

 We are open for lunch 11 am until 2 pm and also select nights for dinner using theme nights and guest chef nights.   We eventually  will have a homeless outreach taking muffins, bagels, and other items that have a long shelf life to those in the streets of Mobile and surrounding areas.

               It is our desire that Ransom Café will be able to give back to the community.  We want to not only provide a basic need, but also offer a mentoring program to help people learn valuable skills in the Hospitality industry as well as skills needed to obtain and keep employment.  Cooking classes will be offered for all ages and backgrounds. We hope to give people a basic knowledge to help them with their daily life and a sense of community so that they feel a part of something good.  Donations not needed for the daily operations of the café will go towards sponsoring school activities, community outreach projects, overseas missions and other programs with common goals.  We would also like to bring in mission teams for projects like home improvements and backyard bible clubs. 

Ransom Café is the place that we start our journey of going into the entire world and loving our neighbors as ourselves.
