Rappahannock Pantry Inc.

The goal of the Rappahannock Pantry, Inc, is to provide healthy and locally produced food to our families in need and to help to support them with education and  other resources to live a productive life in our country.

Additionally, in 2019 we bgan a Capital Campaign "One Rappahannock" to help raise funds for a new centrally located building in Washington, VA.  which will open June of 2024.

More About Us

In 2023, we served 368 families and 1016 individuals.  For the first four months of 2024 we have added  63 new families to our pantry list. Our programs to help serve our clients include a Backpack Program for weekend meals to children in the schools. A School Supply Program for the families. A new Feminine Care Program that supplies products for women monthly. 

We receive donations from the Hunters for the Hungry Program every year.  Our Cow/Sow Program allows farmers to donate local meat to us for our pantry, or we purchase with grants and donations .  We have a Matching Grant program that helps us keep local produce on our shelves through the summer. We serve all of our families at Thanksgiving and Christmas with a  Holiday Meal Program.

So this Campaign Season, we our looking to  help supplement our pantry with items for our clients's pantry!

We are always in desperate need of Sugar, spices, coffee, tea, Baking soda & powder, salt & pepper, and other basics for cooking and baking.
