Ravenswood's Summer Academy makes a difference for students! 

• More than half of the achievement gap between lower- and higher-income youth can be explained by unequal access to summer learning opportunities. 

• Students lose up to two months in grade level equivalency in math and reading, with the summer learning loss affecting low-income students disproportionately.

• Over 95% of the students in RCSD are from low-income families and 70% of RCSD students are English Language learners.

The Ravenswood Education Foundation is changing the story for students.

This work is made possible by REF's close working relationship with the Ravenswood City School District, strategic partnerships with local companies and other non-profits, the ability to allocate resources where they are needed most, and our obsession with student outcomes.
