Success and prosperity start with good health.

Access to quality health care is critical for keeping ourselves and our families healthy. Even with the Affordable Care Act, many residents of communities like East Palo Alto still cannot afford adequate health  insurance.

That’s why Ravenswood Family Health Center (RFHC) provides gold standard medical, mental health, and dental care services regardless of ability to pay or immigration status. In 2015, we served over 14,000 patients. Nearly 3 in 4 of our patients live in poverty, raising families on less than $24,000 a year.

Cost is one of many barriers to getting quality care.

Most of our patients are more comfortable speaking a language other than English. Plus, our patients often work multiple jobs to support their families, so traveling far to see a doctor during regular business hours is nearly impossible.

We are located right in the community to help patients overcome these barriers. We offer weekend and evening hours so patients  get the care they need when they need it. Most of our staff live in the same neighborhoods and speak the same languages as our patients.

Ravenswood also works with local non-profits and public agencies to help our patients get access to reliable transportation for health appointments, affordable housing, fresh fruits and vegetables, and substance abuse recovery programs.

We help low-income San Mateo and Santa Clara County residents overcome barriers to getting health care services. We keep families healthy, so parents can work to support their families and kids can go to school ready to learn.  

By providing an attractive alternative to local hospitals, Ravenswood  prevents thousands of emergency room visits a year, saving Silicon Valley hospitals and taxpayers millions of dollars.
