A child with a tooth ache. A young man with no health insurance. A woman struggling to control her diabetes. A senior trying to extend their quality of life.

From babies to seniors, Riverside Community Health Foundation is committed to providing access to quality healthcare and education for the most vulnerable populations in our community. We believe that healthy and happy individuals lead to thriving communities, so we are passionate about creating and funding innovative programs that take a holistic approach to health and well-being and, in doing so, improve the quality of life for all.

We know that sometimes numbers and statistics don’t fully tell the story of those behind them. Take Jaena Bernal for example. Jaena has a medical condition that limits her from walking long distances. She lives far from the bus stop and doesn’t have a vehicle. Without the free transportation our Eastside Health Center provides Jaena wouldn’t be able to make her medical appointments and neither would her children.

There are many other families like the Bernals who wouldn’t be able to receive medical and dental care without our low cost health centers and clinic transportation. An estimated 28% of Riverside County Residents are uninsured. Riverside County also has a low physician rate compared to our population size – just 40 primary care doctors per 100,000 residents instead of the recommended 60 to 80. These figures combined with the high rates of chronic conditions in our area, like obesity and diabetes; highlight the need and demand for quality healthcare and health education services that we provide. But in order to reach more families and individuals, we need your help.
