Project XL Readiness Program, Inc.

Project XL is a post-secondary planning program with an emphasis on college and career readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Our signature B.O.S.S. Moves focuses on preparing youth for life after high school, which includes workshops related to setting short-term and long-term goals, college, career, financial planning, and post-secondary transition. There are also opportunities for college tours, scholarships, internships, and mentorship. 

In addition to our engaging workshops, we give youth the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship. Our Project XL Entrepreneur Experience takes participants through the process of understanding entrepreneurship, product and service exploration, business planning, financial forecasting, and business showcasing. After receiving feedback on their product/service and business plan, youth are invited to participate in a business fair where they keep all of their profit.

Project XL also works with youth on service learning projects through our signature Garden-to-Grub Program. Through partnerships with local farmers and organizations, we provide hands-on activities and interactive lessons, that help participants develop a deeper understanding of horticulture, nutrition, and the importance of sustainable food practices. Our current partnership with Elevate Farms, LLC teaches youth how to grow their own food from seed to harvest and take the crops from garden to grub!

We envision a world where youth have a clear and purposeful vision of their futures as productive global citizens. Our programming provides youth with authentic real-world experiences that promote success and independence and we will always do our best to inspire and support youth as they prepare to eXceL after high school!
