Description of Virtual Small Group Interactions

Imagine a person in the middle of a life situation requiring prayer, or his reading prompted a deeply felt question, or facing a major decision needing the advice of his mentor, or just wanting to share something with those he loved and trusted in his group. Waiting until next Tuesday night’s small group meeting won’t work! He doesn’t want to use social media because he doesn’t trust its privacy.

He can turn immediately to his group and post his need/question so the group and his mentor can respond. His mentor can take him into a private chat room or try a lesson and video-chat with him or her. He can review with his learner the journals he kept during the study and suggest additional information or people who could help. Together they can track all his goals in a learning plan.

A group member could invite a friend if they were discussing something of interest to him or her. Then that person could be approved as a small group member (a video Skype-type meeting online through the APP).

The small group leader facilitates the online group so members can understand and experience the relevancy of Scripture in their lives and how the Holy Spirit is always their ‘alongsider’ providing wisdom and leading from God.

Sync with God ties together the ministry of connectedness, mentoring, and group support with a Biblical framework. It exists to help provide this supportive, caring experience to those whose busy lifestyles don’t allow them to do so today. For the generation who long for deeper relationships and direction to provide true meaning to their lives but can’t find a way to know it, Sync with God was created.
