Real Vida Inc

Carl Stevens was a participant in our program and now works with us. This is his story:

"I was a 20 year addict who had spent my life in and out of jails and institutions. I had destroyed my family relationships and my addiction affected the lives of everyone close to me. I had lost all hope and given up on ever being free from drugs and alcohol.

After a near fatal drug overdose I came into Real Vida's recovery home desperately seeking a real encounter with Jesus Christ. Not just what I had heard about Him from other people. I wanted to know Him for myself. Real Vida gave me a safe place to stay so that I could focus on my relationship with Jesus. They found a job for me in a drug free environment and helped me get on my feet again. Most of all they showed me real love and care.

Making my way through the program I surrendered my life to God and His will. That was 6 years ago and my life has changed dramatically. I am truly free and clean from my past problems. God has restored my relationships with family and healed my mind. I now work in ministry full-time and am the Celebrate Recovery Director at our church. I also go to a Prison and help inmates that may never leave from behind bars.

God used Real Vida to deliver me from addiction and gave me the tools I need to succeed in life."
