Redeemer Community Partnership is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit, Christian community development corporation that has been working in the Exposition Park neighborhood in South Los Angeles to create a safe, healthy, opportunity-rich community where children, youth and their families thrive since 1992. Our focus is on creating a network of programs and partners that will support the children in our neighborhood from birth to college and beyond. We operate four main programs. Adventures Ahead offers an individualized reading curriculum during the academic year and an all day summer camp. The goal is to achieve grade-appropriate literacy and nurture each child’s development as a lifelong reader. Our robotics club offers students that chance to learn programming, team work and perseverance as they build Lego robots to meet certain goals. During the fall, our robotics teams competes in tournaments with other schools in the LA area. Family Learning Academy workshops equip parents to fully invest in their children’s learning through a range of topics such as literacy, math, school choice, and pathways to college. We also work with our neighbors to helps residents form neighborhood associations improve their community's safety and health as well as build social capital.
