Redlands Community Foundation

A nonprofit organization

6 donors

The Redlands Community Foundation (RCF) is building a savings account for the future of our children, families, and neighborhoods. For people interested in leaving a legacy, the foundation is the most effective place for local residents to mention in their estate plan or will.

Foundation donors can do great things with their money and have an impact that they wouldn’t have thought of on their own. When donors pool their resources through a community foundation, they leave a stronger legacy together than they can on their own.

The community foundation marshals local resources and solutions for local problems by assessing our community’s pressing needs and providing a means for people to give to those needs as they change. RCF strengthens organizations addressing those needs.

And, as the community’s needs shift in the future, RCF will be able to distribute funds for the current needs of the community.

RCF does this in three ways:

  1. Annual “Friends of the Foundation” fund,
  2. Donor-Advised Funds for individual donors who want flexibility with their giving, and
  3. A community endowment fund to maintain and improve the quality of life in our region.

RCF puts a donor’s gift to use right away to change the lives of youth and families by meeting their basic needs and lifting their sights to achieve their potential.

“Friends of the Foundation” make community impact grants to nonprofit organizations who make a difference in our community through the arts (music, performance, and visual arts), education (history, tutoring, and literacy), youth development (sports, feeding and clothing vulnerable youth, and character development), social services (food, shelter, and clothing for families) and our outdoor spaces (parks, trees, and the environment).

Donor-Advised Fund holders made a difference in the lives of youth and adults by supporting sports programs, scholarships, tuition assistance, classroom teachers, police and fire departments, parks, museums, and libraries.

Right now the Redlands Community Foundation is a well-kept secret. As more people know about the services available for donors and the potential for a lasting local impact, the foundation’s community impact will grow.

Redlands Community Foundation board members are one of its greatest strengths. Board members have the relationships, tools, and resources to help local donors make a difference right here, right now.
