Redwood City Child Development Program (RCCDP) is an early childhood development program that provides a safe and secure environment for children to learn and develop in order to be prepared for kindergarten, later schooling, and success in life. RCCDP provides full-time childcare and preschool for children ages 11 months through 5 years old. The majority of the children in our program come from low-income, at-risk families in the Redwood City community and their attendance at the progam is subsidized by the State of California based on income level and work status of their parents.

It is irrefutable that early childhood education is critical and gives children an advantage later in life.  A growing body of research shows that low-income children who receive an early childhood education are more likely to graduate from high school, hold a job, and commit fewer crimes.  Unfortunately, due to drastic budget cuts, many state-funded programs in California like RCCDP that serve this population of children have been forced to close their doors or serve fewer children.

A donation to RCCDP allows us to continue to offer our program and services to the population of families we serve and enables us to be less dependent on the unpredictable State of California budget process.

Thank you for your support!
