Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center

Since 1985, Renaissance has provided critical entrepreneurship training and business support services to over 24,000 Bay Area women and men who have started and grown over 9,000 businesses and created more than 12,000 jobs.

Renaissance Mid-Peninsula, located in East Palo Alto, offers intensive business training, skill-building workshops, financial education, access to capital, business incubation, one-on-one consulting and the resources and networks all entrepreneurs need to succeed. We also provide offsite training in Daly City, Redwood City, Menlo Park, San Mateo and Foster City.

We support entrepreneurs at every state of business development from prestart to launch to business acceleration and growth, while at the same time addressing the challenges lower-income women and men face as they strive to achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Our impact is evidenced by the success of our clients. In 2014, Renaissance served 2,121 English and Spanish speaking women and men who launched and grew 658 businesses and created employment for over 1,100 residents.

• 52% of clients who came to Renaissance in the pre-launch stage launched their businesses;
• The median gross revenue of clients in business full time after one year is $80,023;
• 40% of Renaissance businesses employ three or more individuals; and
• 98% of clients stated that Renaissance exceeded or met their goals.
