According to the World Health Organization, about 236,000 drowning deaths occur per year worldwide, making it the 3rd leading cause of unintentional deaths and 7% of all injury-related deaths.

OUR MISSION: the Rescue Tube Foundation is dedicated to reducing the number of drowning deaths around the world by providing Public Access Rescue Tubes to protect rescuers in recreational waters.

We developed a public access personal floatation device system to reduce avoidable deaths. In 2008, we began placing Public Access Rescue Tubes on the beaches of Hawaii. Soon, our efforts expanded to the continental U.S. and then into Canada.

Rescue Tubes stand guard 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They're designed to be available for anyone to use and protect themselves while they attempt to help a swimmer in distress.

Always swim near a lifeguard when possible. When not, Rescue Tubes are there for all of us. Let's enjoy our beautiful beaches and stay safe!

Donate to the Rescue Tube Foundation so we can continue to place these life-saving stations. Mahalo.

Watch this video as a young couple who tried to swim in Queens Bath were pulled out to sea.  A bystander threw in a Rescue Tube which was pulled out to them by the same current. The couple was able to keep themselves safely afloat and away from the life threatening rocks until lifeguards from Black Pot beach come on a jet ski and returned them to safety.
