Resourcing Now Ministries

In 2008 my wife and I visited Guatemala for the first time with the desire to serve God in and through this country in whatever way God led. While there we stood looking over one of the largest squatters villages in all of Cenral America. It consisted of over 250,000 people crammed into a five square mile mountain side. We prayed that God would give us an opportunity to work in this area one day. Little did we know at that time how big this opportunity for us would become. God answered our prayer! Shortly after moving to Guatemala we met the Pastor of the City of Refuge ministry. He and his family were working in this squatters village known as Linda Vista as Pastors, missionaries and teachers. Their work and vision for this community and all of Guatemala captured our hearts and we quickly joined with them in what God was doing through their ministry.

Since that time we have received FIVE containers of Spanish Christian literature into Guatemala through Love Packages and have distributed it from the warehouse we purchased in Linda Vista for City of Refuge. This material has gone out to hundreds, possibly even thousands of churches touching tens of thousands of lives throughout Guatemala, Belize and beyond. City of Refuge has also used this warehouse as their church home as well as a ministry center to hundreds of people in the community. They also teach Bible classes to over FOUR thousand students in three schools located in Linda Vista. We have also joined City of Refuge in planting churches in four rural areas of Guatemala and have brought in work teams and medical teams from the United States to aid in this process.

Our desire is to continue to bring in Spanish Christian literature and Bibles to distribute from our warehouse to all of Central America and work along side City of Refuge to plant churches and make disciples in Guatemala.

The testimonies we have already received from people using this material has greatly encouraged us to continue in this work. In 2011 we created Resourcing Now Ministries, whose purpose is to provide resources and support for Churches, Pastors and Missionaries serving in Central America.
