Restoration803

Restoration 803 is a non-profit charitable organization that focuses on restoring homeless individuals back to their original capacity of life, so they may be able to contribute to the life-long process of productive living.

Since 1999, Restoration803 has been providing food, clothing, and support to homeless individuals & families in Columbia, SC. Using innovative methods, partnerships and over 200 volunteers, Restoration803 provides several services necessary to help this unique community obtain their self-sufficiency.

These services include:
-Access to food and clothing
-Affordable housing assistance
-Crisis and support counseling
-Educational support

For over 20 years, we have provided a community food project in partnership with Harvest Hope Food Bank. Over 200 meals are served on Saturdays to those in need of a meal.

Restoration803 serves as a resource for families requiring emergency assistance.

In partnership with local school districts, Restoration803 provides scholarships to eligible students who serve in their community.

Our partnership with United Way Homeless Consortium allows space for effective communication and collaboration of services for the homeless population.

Our newest initiative is "The Senior Elves" project. Monthly meal boxes are delivered to senior citizens residing in food desert communities. We also develop "Community Cafes" to enhance community leadership, support and advocacy.

Washington Methodist Church and Hope Plaza Center have been supporters and community partners of Restoration803. Our partnership provides volunteers and the required space to serve over 400 meals and survivor kits to homeless individuals and families during the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays.

Not only does Restoration803 serve the community locally, but our support also reaches overseas. We are partners with "Today for Tomorrow"(T4T), which focuses on the support of children and providing disaster relief to homeless families in South Africa.
