Richland Carrousel Park, Inc. opened August 31, 1991, with the goal of drawing people to downtown Mansfield while creating a safe atmosphere. The Downtown Main Street area north of Park Avenue is now known has the Carrousel District and its days open or closed significantly affect the downtown customer traffic for all the other shops. Visitors to the Carrousel range in age from 7 days to 103 years old.
It is a place for families to come together and build memories. Space can be rented for parties . . . including birthdays, scout badge programs, church groups, showers, family reunions, Celebration of Life, Business meetings or holiday dinners, etc.
The Richland Carrousel has many days where rides are free, the cost absorbed by the Carrousel, or donated by locals who care about the community. Every Wednesday during the Summer School Break season, The Carrousel offers free rides for 2 hours, yoga classes for children, storytime readings, all free to help out the parents who need educational and entertaining low cost options.
Imagine a rainy or snowy day with the children tired of being stuck inside; what can you do? Come to the Carrousel for a few rides, one 4-minute ride is $1; six rides are $5; and 50 rides are $35. Sit at a table with something to eat, rock in the provided rocking chairs, Listen to the wonderful music while you watch the beautiful animals and lights going in circles; enjoy a box of popcorn or a slush . . . The Carrousel is where Happy begins and family memories are made!
Many people meet friends here from areas outside Richland County. Bus tours come to the Carrousel to enjoy a ride, box lunch or locally catered meal, shop in our Gift Shop and visit the other stores in downtown Mansfield.
Private Evening Rentals are available for rehearsal dinners, weddings, birthdays, corporate events, Celebration of Life, family reunions, etc. If you can imagine it, we can help you create it. We now offer catering service for your events.
