Rise for baby and family offers two critical programs for families in the Monadnock Region: early intervention for children with confirmed or potential developmental disabilities and delays; and inclusive child care.
Early intervention includes services from physical, speech, and occupational therapists, as well as support from educators and mental health counselors. These services help children help children get ready to start school with their typically developing peers. Families are not charged for these services beyond the payments received from insurance companies, making this critical care accessible to all families around the Monadnock Region. Our providers work with children right in their homes (or other location of the family's choice).
Our child care program is safe, play-based, and open to children of all abilities. We work hard to keep our program affordable for families.
Rise will serve more than 500 families this year. We are serving more families than ever before and the need for our services continues to increase dramatically every year. Fundraising allows us to fill the gap between what is covered by insurance for early intervention services and what families need, as well as to support families in our child care program facing challenges. Parenting is both rewarding and challenging. All parents need the support of others to gain perspective, to share resources, and to develop strategies. Therefore, the mission of Rise for baby and family is to:
- Assist in identifying infants and toddlers with a variety of special needs and provide quality services to encourage optimal early development.
- Recognize the uniqueness of families and provide them with the support needed in their child’s early years.
- Provide community leadership assuring comprehensive services for young children and their families.
