Riverside Community Housing Corporation

A nonprofit organization

Background

On January 7, 1992, the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside (HACR) authorized the creation of a non-profit, public benefit corporation for the purpose of increasing the supply of affordable housing in Riverside County.

Specifically, RCHC seeks to engage in financing, acquiring, developing, rehabilitating, owning, managing, and selling affordable housing for extremely low, low and moderate income persons within the County of Riverside, as a means of promoting the common good and general welfare of the people of the State of California. Further, RCHC aims to augment low and moderate income resident services and housing programs sponsored by HACR and/or the County of Riverside Economic Development Agency.

Our Mission

We believe that affordable housing, economic opportunity and health are matters of unalienable human dignity. Through the creation and preservation of affordable housing and community development initiatives, RCHC strives to eradicate barriers to the pursuit of actualizing these essential liberties, galvanize vibrant communities and expand access in the transition towards self-sufficiency.
