Robert Lee Wilson Foundation Inc

The Robert Lee Wilson Foundation was founded with a goal to make a difference in the lives of families who are struggling with food insecurity. Our team has been working hard to provide nourishing meals to those in need during the Thanksgiving holiday season since 2020. We have served 328 individuals from nearly 60 families throughout the DFW area through nominations from our local community. Each year, families are provided a complete, ready-to-heat meal along with a pantry box stocked with staple non-perishable items. The generosity of donors allows us to continue executing our mission and decreasing food insecurity.

Born in 1919, Robert Lee Wilson, Sr. lived through many of the events read about in history books. He lived out his faith while studying at home, attending bible study and church services, and serving as a deacon in his local church. As a devoted husband and father of 9 children, he modeled compassion by opening his home to feed others, whether he had little or plenty to share. Robert Lee Wilson, Sr. instilled the value of treating others with kindness, dignity, and respect.

This nonprofit bears his name to continue the legacy he began in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will continue serving families with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect one nourishing meal at a time. Our hope is that each individual and family will feel the love and joy that Robert Lee Wilson, Sr. so effortlessly exuded.
