At Rochester Child Care Center, we believe every child deserves a safe place to grow, learn, and belong — during the school year and in the summer.

Who We Are

Established in 1976 as private non-profit center with a volunteer board of directors the center has maintained a consistent mission of providing high quality affordable child care to families in Rochester and surrounding communities. In its history the center has grown from an enrollment of 35 children to serving approximately 300 children in its various programs. Tuition is kept at an affordable rate through a contract with the Child Development Bureau, fund-raising and grant writing. Throughout its history the center has demonstrated a commitment to school aged childcare and has partnered with the Rochester School District to offer care at five elementary schools.

Our staff works hard to prevent illness and injuries. There is always someone on our premises who is CPR and First Aid certified.

The Rochester Child Care Center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program to offer nutritious meals and snacks and provides information to parents on nutrition and health topics. Through funding from a Community Block Grant new developmentally appropriate playgrounds were added to the facility in 2004. The center is licensed by the State of New Hampshire and has recently attained the newly developed Licensed Plus status.
