Rocky Mountain Rowing Club Inc

A nonprofit organization

The Rocky Mountain Rowing Club is the largest and oldest chartered 501(c)3 rowing organization in the Rocky Mountains. The club was formed in 1985 with the primary purpose of fostering national and international rowing competition by developing amateur rowers. The club has since evolved into a non-profit, multifaceted organization which welcomes and encourages masters rowers and adults of all ages and levels of experience who wish to become involved in the sport of rowing.  Our members are novice beginners, advanced rowers, para rowers and recreational rowers that foster a strong sense of community and inclusivity.

We are proud to be a Partner for Clean Water with World Rowing and the World Wildlife Foundation. At Cherry Creek Reservoir, the home base for Rocky Mountain Rowing Club, we have noticed changes in water quality and quantity over our time.

We aim to work with organizations locally and globally to share resources, learn from each other, and do our part in order to build a community network of water stewards so we can preserve our rowing venue for decades to come.

RMRC hosts the annual 5280 fall regatta in October. This fun and exciting head race challenges rowers of all ages, juniors and masters alike, to race 5280 meters around Cherry Creek Reservoir. The regatta is well attended with over 400 participants, volunteers and the local community participating.
