Testimonials

“Talking to a social worker was the best thing I’ve ever done.” - Caregiver

“The thing I most like about the group is that I have people my own age to talk to. That really makes the difference to me.” - Young Stroke Survivor

“It is a lot of fun and that makes it feel like I’m doing more than just rehab.” - Stroke Survivor

“Everyone there understood us. We could ask questions and get answers based on their experiences. We learned about many resources we would have never heard of without going to a stroke [support] group.” - Caregiver

“Having the ability to make friends that really understand my condition, gives me hope about life in general, allows me to be with others without worrying what they think.” - Stroke Survivor

“It feels safe there. Individual counseling before group has enabled me to feel more focused and centered.” - Stroke Survivor
