Rogue Retreat

A little about our organization:

             Rogue Retreat is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was established in 1998 in Medford Oregon to help restore lives of people recovering from many types of addictions and dysfunctions. In 2008 Rogue Retreat developed a  Homeless Permanent Supportive Housing Program to serve the needs of the community by assisting the homeless get a hand up on their journey from homelessness to stability. The goal of this program is to give hope to the homeless through affordable housing, accountability and life coaching.  This is accomplished through providing a combination of housing units with rental subsidies, case management, housing inspections, life-skills training classes and a clean and sober living environment.

 Lives Restored:

             In the last two months 5 households have completed the program and have moved to rentals in the community. They are now stable and living independently.

                Many of our participants now have the ability to spend time with their children that do not live with them because they are in this program. One single mom reported that she is being granted joint custody of her daughter now that she lives in Rogue Retreat. Another mom reported that she now can spend time with two of her children she hasn't seen in 4 years. One single dad was awarded custody of his son and daughter after years of being in the foster care system. He just got a full time job and for the first time in a long time feels secure and stable.

            One of our women recently graduated from Family Court. She was told she had the best speech in Family Court history and they asked her to be on the advisory council.

            Four participants are working on filing their SSDI Disability claims with our SSI advocate case manager. If they are awarded, it will drastically increase their quality of life and ability to care for themselves.
