Ronald Mcdonald House Charities of the Bluegrass Inc

As he dropped 98 cents into the hands of a Ronald McDonald House® volunteer, the 6-year-old boy made one simple request, that it be used to help his sister get better.

Ninety-eight cents may not seem like much to most people, but when a loved one is sick even the smallest amount of help can go a long way. Sometimes it’s the smallest of contributions that make the biggest impact in adding an extra dose of comfort and care to help families overcome the challenges they are facing.

For 30 years Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Bluegrass has been providing support, comfort and care for thousands of families with sick children. Each and every day RMHC strives to help children find strength to heal, one of the ways is by keeping their family and loved-ones close by. Ronald McDonald House provides families with a home-away-from-home, so they may find comfort, care and support without leaving their child’s side.

More than just a charity, RMHC of the Bluegrass is a community that understands the importance of giving families support, friendship, hope and, most importantly, normalcy in the face of a chaotic situation, all with the hope of making the most stressful circumstances a little more bearable. Last year, RMHC opened their doors to 418 families, providing them with a comfortable home-away-from-home throughout their child’s stay at the hospital.

The services Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass provides for families would not be possible without the continuous donations, both small and large, from the community. Through your donations, RMHC can continue to provide safe, comfortable lodging and a supportive community for families facing the daily challenges of a child’s injury or illness.
