Rose Park Sports Association

For many of the underrepresented youth on the west side of Salt Lake City, activity often comes in the form of unstructured free play or organized school and community sports. Alternative options such as private sport clubs or travel teams exist, but are often more expensive than entry-level recreation leagues, and also often require resources that are too costly for middle-to-lower income parents.

Athletes in homeless shelters, foster homes and kids in protective services have an even lower chance to be involved in these types of programs. Rose Park Sports Association exists to close that gap. We serve kids that long for and appreciate the opportunity to be part of a team, a community and family that values them and meets them where they're at. 

We provide a sport club experience for youth who do not have access to this experience elsewhere. We serve youth athletes by not only providing team sports opportunities, but also assist students in tracking attendance, grades, tutoring, becoming envolved in community activities and enrolling in college.

RPSA serves kids here in SLC. This month we teamed up with Love UT Give UT and are seeking sponsorships for our group of west side youth. 

Last year our Big Legs group was state-ranked. Over the past 7 years, comprised of an all-volunteer coaching team, community-based fundraising and team moms doing their best the team has barely covered costs.

We are working on getting more public support from organizations like yours so that we can worry less about funds and more about our youth athletes.  

In addition, this year we want to provide a traveling experience for our youth athletes, to do this we need community support.

Your funding would go directly towards athlete fees to pay for:

Individual Fees- $250.00 per player

1. League fee
2. Player equipment
   1. Football helmets, pads & uniform, socks, mouth pieces
   2. Water bottles
3. Accident insurance
4. Practice equipment

Team Fees- $250 per player

1. Official fees for games
2. Field rentals
3. Insurance for game fields
4. Trophies
5. Field paint
6. Balls
7. Training equipment

Travel Costs (contingent on fundraising efforts)

1. Airfare
2. Hotels
3. Food
4. Entertainment
5. Car rental
