Rotary Club of Erie Scholarship Foundation

Through the Foundation worthy men and women who have completed their secondary education may acquire needed help in achieving higher education beyond high school, which might otherwise be unavailable to them because of adverse economic circumstances. Rotary Club of Erie members believe that financial aid to these young people constitutes a good investment by making them potential assets for the maintenance, growth and health of the community and serves as a strong motivation for their development.

Programs and Services:

The Foundation currently awards five $3,000 scholarships to Erie public high school seniors who live in the City of Erie. Strong consideration is given to financial need based on family size and income to help higher education.

The Rotary Club of Erie which partners with Mercyhurst University holds an Ethics Symposium each Spring offering high school juniors from the community, a free one-day event focused on promoting thoughtful dialogue about what defines ethical behavior and choices.
