The mission of the Roxbury Housing Trust is to promote, support and secure permanently affordable housing in the Town of Roxbury, CT. RHT was formed and incorporated in October 2022 as a direct outcome of the Town of Roxbury’s Housing Affordability Plan (adopted August 2022) and Plan of Conservation & Development (2020). RHT is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization.
To carry out its mission, RHT will:
- Develop, construct, sponsor, or own, as a nonprofit housing organization, safe and adequate housing facilities solely and exclusively for income-eligible families and persons.
- Utilize public and private programs, including financing opportunities, to develop, build, manage, and own or lease affordable housing units.
- Pursue housing that comports with Roxbury’s landscape and natural features.
