River Region United Way

River Region United Way (RRUW), headquartered in Montgomery, AL, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve lives and strengthen communities within Alabama’s five-county River Region. Partnering with our 42 affiliate agencies, RRUW identifies and addresses community issues under the four pillars of education, health, financial stability and basic needs. Through direct and indirect services, RRUW supports community-oriented programs and initiatives that help those in need and advances RRUW’s goal of discovering solutions to the River Region’s most critical problems. With origins dating back to 1923, RRUW has provided over $100 million in goods, services and economic impact. RRUW believes that our communities, working together, can achieve more than any single person or organization could alone.
