RUBARB Community Bike Shop

RUBARB's mission is to provide a free space for those who want to repair, maintain, build and learn more about bicycles. In addition to promoting alternative transportation and the creative reuse of material, we focus on youth development through skill building and the encouragement of self-reliance.

RUBARB is not just a bike shop, but a community space where youth come in regularly to fix bikes, hang out, eat snacks and play! We are the only community bike shop in town, so folks from all over the city have a free space to learn about bikes and get help from skilled volunteers. In addition, we get donations from all over which helps keep bikes out of the trash and into the hands of folks who need them.
