Rustic Roots Sanctuary Co

We create food equity by growing food for our community. We distribute this food through a senior program and the Spanish Lake Farmers Market! We are working to strengthen the local food system by training black and brown farmers through a program called From Dreaming to Implementation. We also help people heal trauma in nature through several restorative events and collaborations with local holistic healers. We engage youth through a summer program to teach youth agriculture and sustainability skills. The youth involved love the farm and the animals. They create rich intergenerational bonds with our community. We know this learning will impact their lives for the better.

Rustic Roots Sanctuary is a sustainable farm in Spanish Lake with an organic community garden (GROW Spanish Lake) growing local, whole foods. Rustic Roots Sanctuary is committed to growing relationships and opportunities within the Spanish Lake Community. We believe in cultivating the mind, body, and soul through relationship with the land.

As we enter our 4th year we continue to see new opportunities to build up individuals and the Spanish Lake community. We plan to continue to host events and gatherings through the spring, summer, and fall. We run a weekly farmers market, have holistic healing classes, feed seniors for free, teach nutrition, and create food access.
