Miracles Can Happen! 

Romeo was skin on bones when he was rescued by RVR Horse Rescue. Could he actually survive? Absolutely! Not only did Romeo survive, but he ended up with a happily-ever after with his adoring adoptive mom.

Unfortunately Romeo’s story is not unique.

RVR Horse Rescue has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses for over 15 years, specifically serving the Tampa Bay area, but rescuing horses from all over the state as needs arise. We have become known for taking the worst of the worst cases – and a great percentage survive (over 80%).

RVR is blessed with an all-volunteer team, from a committed and hands-on leadership team to the hundreds of horse angels (volunteers) who work around the clock, as needed, to help as many horses as we can. We have the proven know-how to restore these abused and neglected animals to good health. We have adopters willing to welcome the rehabilitated horses into new loving homes.

But the work to rehabilitate injured and starved animals is costly. We receive no state or federal funding. We cannot help horses like Romeo and so many others, without the help of generous donors, like you.

Our Goal is to raise $50,000
With that money we hope to:

-Support ongoing costs: As of March 2018, we have already rescued 18 horses, including three from hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico.

-Build a hay barn to preserve and store one of our most costly necessities - hay
-Buy a truck load of hay to start our Hay Bank
