SAKS Of Love's Mission To provide household supplies for families to sustain a home of nourishment and cleanliness. Our Vision To end the cycle of uncleanliness. We want families to have the cleaning supplies needed to keep their homes clean. Families need food but they also need resources to keep their children clean and themselves. Through our money management classes, families can be educated on how to budget and save money to be able to afford household essential needs.

is a United family of neighbors working together in service of God's mission. We are vessels used by God to bless His people.
In the community we try to bring encouragement and paint a picture of God 's love into the hearts of the families we serve.

Our mission is to provide household supplies for families to sustain a home of nourishment and cleanliness. There are many nonprofits established here in Shelby county and we are not here to compete with them, for each entity holds its own value to this county.

We don't consider ourselves as another box of food, another sack of clothes entering into the homes of this community. We are a unified connection that displays the true definition of Galatians 5:22. We serve with the fruit of the Spirit. Our neighbors can feel loved, and they leave with joy and peace knowing that they are somebody in this community. Being named Best Charitable Organization doesn't make us proud it motivates us to stay prepared, to serve the next neighbor with gentleness, and goodness. Everyday that we are open we are standing on faith that God will continue to send neighbors like you to make an investment into the lives of your surrounding neighborhoods and His children.

We are not just giving back to the community, we are members and ex members. We are the understanding hearts birthed from the neighborhoods we serve. We are the combined fortunate and less fortunate joined together like Care Bears to love on this community as God has commanded us to do in John 13:34,35. We don't just feed people we understand hungry, we've experienced having our lights cut off, and not having running water, sent home with trash bags from caring teachers and neighbors, sent home with food in backpacks, children without a 2 parent home, children derived from an unstable home. We are the children, now adults who have come together to bring encouragement that poverty is not a way of life it's the mindset were taught to accept. It's the circumstance that we were provided and not the answer to our problem.

We are the children now adults who rose above the impossible but came back to our community searching for the one family who needs our services, and to let our community know it is possible. Luke 15:4 says, "What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?"

Who are we to leave behind the ones who cannot catch a ride to our services? Who are we to smell a child at school or church and turn the other cheek? Who are we to have a closet full of clothes and see our neighbors without a dress? Who are we to see our elderly neighbors alone and will not stop to say hello or tote their groceries or even buy their groceries. Who are we to see a working person struggling to pay bills but cannot afford food, and we not send some love? Who are we to send food home to a child and talk about them being filthy? There are many nonprofits set up to serve people but this nonprofit will go back and get the one family who really needed us.

With your help today, that one can turn into a thousand.

Help us to continue to celebrate our neighbors and keep hope in their hearts that one day life will get better, life can be better, than just another box or sack. Help us to encourage children to pursue higher learning evening if their grades aren't perfect. It's time to show our community how to fish and live. This is not just any nonprofit this is our way of life it never turns off, and it doesn't have a schedule. True servants of God is who we strive to be. Thank you

Funding is intended for programs that support vulnerable residents, develop underserved neighborhoods, and enhance local communities nonprofits that provide support and service to the most vulnerable residents, including people in poverty, people with disabilities, the elderly, children, and youth.
