SC Rural Community and Workforce Development, Inc.

The SC Rural Community & Workforce Development exists to strengthen the economic viability of rural communities by providing a Micro-Business Incubator; a youth and adult entrepreneurial development initiative; and community programs addressing disparities in training and career development, socio-economic status and technology.

As we travel throughout the connecting rural communities of Kershaw, Lee and Sumter Counties we notice a rapid turnover of small businesses, the lack of resources to maintain the survival of these businesses and joblessness. Individuals share that although they have the skill level, they are not aware of business protocols, resource development, financial and educational processes in order to maintain the business. We are working with micro/small businesses, youth entrepreneurs and others to build the expertise needed to sustain these businesses and maintain the economic growth of the rural areas of these counties.
