At SHINE, our mission is to create a community for single moms, equipping them to lead their families toward wholeness. Our vision is to create a thriving community where single moms are empowered to grow in faith, strengthen their families, and build financial stability, all while connecting and supporting one another.

We've heard from the moms we serve and we've analyzed national data to identify three core areas of deep need: faith, family, and finance. These pillars guide our programs, providing single moms with the support they need to lead their families with confidence. SHINE operates on the foundational belief that by fostering community, we empower moms to navigate challenges and recognize that there is no lack for them or their children.

In East Texas, 34.0% of children live in single-parent households (UT Tyler, 2024). We exist to support the moms and children behind this statistic.
